Re: Blue Jays opt for extensive renovation instead of new stadium

"Details are expected to be finalized in January 2021, with a subsequent unveiling of the plan to follow, Davidi reports."

The article is dated December 22, 2021.  Do they mean January 2022?

I'm happy they decided to do this.  What a waste of resources, time, and effort it would be to build a new building and demolish the old.  I'm happy to go to games at the Rogers.

I respect your opinion highly,  but what is the true long term cost of the refurbishment?
"State of good repair"?
If I have a house for sale, and a floor is very old and parts of that floor look like they are ready to give out, I guess it's time for a new floor...wait! I have a better idea! Throw a brand new carpet over that floor and sell the house! It'll look nice for a showing and the new owner won't know a thing until it's too late!!

Wasn't Rogers planning on selling anyway? lol  Throw some fresh new Blue Jay wallpaper on the walls so nobody can see the rotting pipes in the building. lol

Hopefully they will go for a retro look, like many of the other MLB stadiums.

I am glad they are staying in the dome.  I always liked watching baseball there.  If they are spending up to $250 million, that is a major reno, much more than just new paint and carpet.
