There's a very bland spot running way too many times on the radio of late, and mostly I would ignore it. It's the one advertising Tim Horton's tie-in with Justin Bieber. It begins with a woman saying in a questioning voice, "Mr. Bieber?"
The problem for me is that every single time I hear that, I'd swear she was saying "Mr. Beeper," and as a born-and-raised Southern Ontario kid, my mind instantly thinks of the puppet character featured on Rocketship 7 over WKBW in the 60s. I can't be the only one hearing this, can I?
It's amazing how stuff from your childhood sticks in your head no matter how old you get. (However, it doesn't always work that way. If they run a promo, I don't ever think of that robot!)
