That's one thing I have always liked about CP24's morning show, all of the on air talent come across as down to earth and seem to like each other. They try to keep things fairly light to start the day.   Nick with his easy going and professional presence fit right in this morning.  This show still has a bit of the flavour of City tv from the CHUM/Moses era. 

Even little things like the birthdays/anniversaries that they do everyday.  A very small town thing, but the audience likely loves it.  And the fact that they are detailed oriented enough to get the pronunciation of the names right.  One name was wrong this morning, and it was corrected at the end of the birthdays.  That's a little thing, but the fact that the host took the time to correct the mistake shows they understand for the people having a birthday with their photo on TV is a big big deal.  One reason why CP24 is the number one morning show.

Also watched City tv's show this morning, and it's not bad.  The only problem is that it goes across the country now and the program is too Toronto/Ontario oriented.  CP24 is only really concerned with Toronto and to a lesser extent the Golden Horseshoe so they have a more defined focus and area they serve.
