Steve Coogan's Alan Partridge is one of the best comic characters of all time.

The early radio version of 'The Day Today' was 'On the Hour'. It is equally good and worth a listen.

Coogan definitely got the most mileage with Alan Partridge, but Chris Morris' work remains some of the most savage satire ever committed to tape. (it looks like Brass Eye has been taken off of Youtube)
