Canada Day 2021

Last year on Canada Day, boom in Toronto had a great day-long focus on Canadian rock.  Does anyone know of anything special anywhere that will salute our great music?
Or will I have to "Take those old records off the shelf?"

Re: Canada Day 2021

Looks like they have a better variety of songs to choose from than last year.  Noticed quite a few artists that weren't on the list in 2020.  Canadian Railroad Trilogy by Gordon Lightfoot would be interesting to hear.  The best version of this song was the one he re-recorded for Gord's Gold with strings and orchestration.  Don't think CRT was ever released as a single though.

I enjoyed listening to the countdown (caught most of it) last year, and plan to tune again on July 1st, with a beverage in hand on the deck, weather permitting.

Re: Canada Day 2021

Thanks for the notes. Mike Reno and Paul Dean of Loverboy join Stu Jeffries this year for the countdown. It's brodcast in over 30 markets across Canada on all the Stingray Classic Rock and Classic Hits stations starting at 10am on July 1st. We'll do a replay of it on July 4th at the same time.
