Can I voice a complaint about people who complain about talk show hosts?
I've recently relocated to Niagara Falls, Ontario and through the mess of moving, reassembling and discarding I came across an archive of some of the best "People Helping People" calls and shows from the past 21 years.
I'm actually finding it therapeutic to listen to what I don't know I'm going to say next! (An "out-of-body" experience)
However, my listeners are complaining that I'm "not live in the studio".
They tune in and hear "You're listening to a re-broadcast" and angrily shut the radio off!!!
HEY!
This is like me giving you a steak dinner, but you'd rather have a hamburger from McDonalds!
(It's also fun relearning my editing skills, They're pretty rough in places!)
(Where is Doug Thompson when you need him?)

With all due respect, a rerun is like a steak dinner reheated in the microwave the next day.
You can appreciate what it WAS, but it's not nearly as good.

You may have just unwrapped the perfect slogan for AM 640 when it goes all-traffic-all-the-time

Grilled Cheese is always best live, hot and ready to go.
Best paired with French's Ketchup from Leamington. Why? Because it's 2016.

Now, live from the streets of The Big Smoke, here's Tommy Traffic...

Mark ... when did we reroll the show on CFRB. You were on so late and after midnight ... it would not make sense to air it a few hours later overnight. Unless it wasn't a PHP show, it was a reroll of you doing a regular show filling in for someone.
As for it's like a steak reheated in the microwave ... if you're listening for the first time and you're not planning to call in ... what's the difference. Nothing changes. I never understood why people complain so much about silly things they hear on the radio ... guess these things are a First World problem.

If opinionated talk radio hosts stop airing silly topics who will listen?
