He's not necessarily a household name in this part of the world, but many in the industry knew and respected the incredible talents of Charlie Tuna. It's just been revealed that one of the world's best radio personalities passed away on Feb. 19th. How prodigious was his talent? According to KABC TV, he worked for more stations (including the original home of Boss Radio 93/KHJ, pictured below) and on more formats than any other radio personality in Los Angeles history.
Every life ends too soon, but this one really did. The man born as Art Ferguson was only 71 years old.

When the late great WKLX (Oldies 98nine) out of Rochester would pull in
in the Scarborough Ontario area back in the early 90's
it was great hearing Charlie Tuna on "Your good time oldies magazine".
