MyFM May Be Selling 3 GTA Stations In Alliston, Milton & Orangeville

A group called Local Radio Lab is seeking to take over CIMA-FM Alliston, CJML-FM Milton and CKMO-FM Orangeville from MyFM for just under $3 million. The CRTC will be considering the ownership transfer at its next hearing the week of May 27th.

It sounds like MyFM is unloading quite a few of its stations - I believe they had made a similar announcement about some other stations closer to Lake Huron recently.

Sold four... bought one.

Press release says it's a move for future acquisitions.

Sounds like they have a plan.

This is interesting.  Wonder if they are planning to get into a few medium or larger markets?  Corus still has stations for sale.

They would have to deliver a different product in competitive markets.  Talking about lunch at the local Lions Club hall won't cut it in markets where people expect entertainment value.
