Flow FM was true to the audience, the playlist, the market and had more integrity when it was privately owned. Angeline Tetteh-Wayoe now on CBC2, shares her journey when independently owned Flow, got bought out by Bell and became the MOVE (throwback hits).
She also shares her journey from coming from Western Canada to big market radio and how that Bell takeover was a "massacre" in her words.
Here's the link, with a video of her interview too...please enjoy!
Has anyone here gone through an ownership change? How did it affect you?
I know I came in just after new owners took over a station I was at, and we lost half of our audience overnight with a format change. I remember one ad agency wanting to make a buy on the station and we didn't even come close in meeting Cume and GRP's...that was a tough environment to be in.
