The show has done well enough in the U.S. that it will be back on the Peacock Network in 2021. The real question now is: if TV shoots resume their normal production schedule, will it come back in Fall primetime or just be considered a summer replacement series?
Transplant Gets Season 2 at NBC

Congrats to CTV. Doesn't look like Transplant so far is running in many other countries on network TV other than Canada and the US. Just a summer replacement? Probably. However with dreadful US TV network ratings, there isn't really any difference between summer and fall now anyway. The big fall season doesn't really exist much anymore and has become less important over the last few years other than for sports.
The pilot for Global's Nurses had two runs on NBC over the past week and will settle in to the Tuesday 10pm timeslot in January. The initial showing had 3.6 million viewers which is about average for prime time network viewers stateside. But it did beat out Bull over on CBS. Oddly enough Global was showing Bull the same time that NBC had the sneak peak of Nurses, last week. So Global was competing with itself!

According to TVLine.com, NBC has confirmed it will show Transplant's new season but it's now official - Global's Nurses won't get a second shift on the network in the New Year. It aired here this past summer.

No word yet on when it will hit NBC, but Transplant is scheduled to return to CTV on Jan. 3rd for its second season.

My research (so far) indicates that while CTV in Canada gave the show a go for January 3rd, NBC is viewing things differently, possibly holding onto the program to make for good summer filler. (Summer 2022)

I would agree with one caveat - if this latest COVID strain shuts down production the way the last one did, the U.S. TV networks may need new material sooner than later. Transplant was popular enough in its first round that NBC could take it off the shelf earlier than expected. It's just too soon to know.
