Toronto certainly has had  a building boom going on with new studios built and planned all over the city.  But next door in Hamilton movie production continues to grow quickly as well.  Hamilton has been a popular destination for movie making for years.

The 2018 best picture of the year, multi Oscar winner, Shape of Water was largely filmed in Hamilton.  Shape of Water producer/director Guillermo del Toro has shot a total of four movies in the Hamilton area, so he seems to like producing movies in the Steel City.
