Ed The Sock Is Back With His Own GTA Radio Talk Show

You have to hand it to our old favourite, Sauga 960. They certainly have a large and seemingly endless variety of programming that most other stations wouldn't touch.

In addition to Mark Patrone, who endlessly complains about the "voter fraud" that defeated Trump in the U.S. and the recently debuted Jeff Woods syndicated show, playing rock music on a terrible AM signal, they've now added Ed the Sock to their line-up.

The new show will air every Friday at 2 PM, with repeats Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 5, and features the usual snarky remarks that led to him getting shows on MuchMusic, City TV and other outlets back in the day.

Whatever you think of CKNT, you have to admit, it boasts quite an eclectic line-up. And at least they're trying. Just ask Steven Kerzner.

Ed The Sock Lives

Liana K was the best reason to watch that show.  Ed on radio?  Meh.

- Not an industry person.  Just a guy with a love of Toronto radio.

Ed The Sock may be best known for being the (brief) sidekick to local media sensation, Frank D'Angelo, back in 2011-2012

He* has 53K followers on Twitter as of this evening, and if there ever was a fanbase perfectly suited for somesock like Ed, it's there in the Twitterverse.

Imagine having to tweet as part of your radio job and interact with the very listeners you'd prefer to know only on the text board at the station or on a call in segment.

Turns out Ed's just as funny on Twitter as he is in real life.

* He meaning Ed, not Frank. ;)

Ed The Sock also made an appearance in Frank D'Angelo's blockbuster film "The Joke Thief"

FUN FACT:  Art's brother, Lang Hindle, was a motorcycle racer and now makes exhausts and I own one of them for one of my motorcycles.
That's my six degrees of separation to Frank D'Angelo.

Come to think of it, has anyone ever seen Frank D'Angelo and grilled.cheese in the same room at the same time?
