Sauga 960 Picks Up Two Hour Syndicated Jeff Woods-Hosted Music Show

It's on a terrible frequency and it's on AM - but that hasn't stopped CKNT from picking up a show that's all about music. The station is the only AM affiliate for "Records and Rockstars" a two-hour weekly show from veteran announcer/rock historian/author Jeff Woods.

It debuts at 10 PM Friday, with replays on Saturday at 5 in the afternoon (competition for Roger Ashby on Jewel 88.5?) and again on Sundays from 3-5 PM.

It's described as "Jeff Woods talking about music and the people that make it, and then playing music from most every era." The show has actually been in production for the past five years and this season started in September.

The program sounds like it might be interesting, but will rock fans be willing to listen to a music show on a fairly weak signal that's not in stereo?

I'll give Sauga 960 credit for trying!

Is Newmarket Jewel FM 88.5 a decent signal into Mississauga and is Mississauga AM 960 a decent signal into Newmarket?     It probably doesn't matter as Toronto is clearly the target audience of both (whether or not they state that)
