Same host with a one hour timeslot instead of two.
Andi knows her stuff, and depending on who is in the other chair*, Leaf's Lunch, the Lunch, is a great escape from other radio stations "the Big 3" content, covid, what Ford is and isn't doing, and the tire fire of U.S. politics.
*in broadcasting as in hockey, some guys and gals who play the wing think they could play centre. So why cut in half the airtime of a successful production?
I guess they felt like it was better to do a strong one hour show then pad two hours until the season starts.
Apparently we are now so desperate for topics of discussion in hockey that there's an article in the Toronto Star with some tangential Leafs hockey dude suggesting that Toronto should play three defenseman and two forwards. I didn't bother reading the article, the headline was 🤨 ludicrous enough.
I too remember Uncle Willis and his time with first Greg Brady and then Jeff Marek on am640. I like(d) his patter... it's also worth noting current TSN afternoon drive host and OverDrive captain Bryan Hayes was the board op for Leafs Lunch years and years ago.

I'm sure they are doing just fine giving it to stations that sign the agreement to air it, including Jewel 88.5
Plus also, Jewel (88.5) is intended to be a station that targets an older audience anyway.
