If this is true, it's very disturbing. It could mean journalists like Daniel Dale (now with CNN), Ed Keenan, the Toronto Star's Washington Bureau Chief, or potentially CTV's Tom Walters would be forced to exit the States after just half a year on their beat. Is the newly re-signed John Roberts now a U.S. citizen? Or would he be forced home, too?

I strongly suspect it will never happen, but a lot may depend on what takes place down there in November.
