Ted Yates CKPT AM 1975 & CHSC FM 1971

Take yourself back to the early 70`s  and your parents have the living room console stereo perpetually tuned to the easy listening FM station. Your parents go out and you change the station to the local Top 40.

Two new clips that may be of interest to some in the Radio Miscellany section of my site.

Re: Ted Yates CKPT AM 1975 & CHSC FM 1971

WOW!  Thanks for that.  Couple of observations from someone who was there (in PTB in '75).

1) I remember Ted referring to himself as the "Invisible" Ted Yates.  Don't know whether or not this check was before that, or whether he had dropped that designation already.
2) I can't believe the Villager was the only shoe shop in town.  I could have sworn there was a BATA in the mall.
3) Guess nobody worried about copyright too much back then,  Cause that Body Shoppe jingle was a direct rip of Evil Ways.
4) That joke about putting your girl on leash.  YIKES!
5)  The music was certainly a mix.  I do remember that Benny Bell song.  Every kid loved that cause...well, he was gonna say shit and he didn't (tee hee).

Great memories.
