Not even the taxpayer-supported Corp. is immune to layoffs. At least 60 people are gone Wednesday, after a series of cutbacks. The CBC won't say exactly which positions have been eliminated or in which media, blaming it on the COVID crisis. At least 10 management jobs have also been eliminated. Most of the damage occurred in T.O., but there are said to be at least four other locations that got hit.

The CBC claims may of the losses were done through attrition and some will happen more gradually over the next three months.  

And here's where I hate those in charge. Barbara Williams, the executive V.P. of English Services, calls it a "workforce adjustment process." I doubt those out on the street would refer to it in those terms.
