As many here know, I'm a big fan of radio history. Here's one I never heard of before.
As everyone is aware by now, COVID has caused many students to opt for remote learning over the computer instead of being in a classroom. But it turns out this isn't the first time a medium or technology has been used to get kids back to their lessons when school was out.
It originally happened over the radio - way back in 1937!
(Hmm, I wonder if they took requests - "Yes, I'd like to hear that math equation you guys played at 9:14? It's got a good beat and you can solve to it.")
