Here's a treat for history buffs...

Broadcasts of World War II beginning in 1932 with items from each year as they were heard on radio.  Not just news, but entertainment programs as well which demonstrate what was going on in the world at the time.  It's laid out chronologically so you can follow the developments from the darkest hours to victory in 1945.
The author has taken broadcasts in English (predominantly) but includes German, Italian, Russian, French (even Canadian) and others to demonstrate what people actually heard on the radio.  There are many hours of listening and talks as they were heard when first broadcast.
As you listen you will hear the formation of news organizations as they happened.

All are listed on YouTube, but to give you a sample 1940 is 8 hours, 47 minutes in length.

1932 begins with Hitler seeking power in Germany while the U.S. listened to entertainment shows like Jimmy Grier & his Orchestra at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
