Two Canadian Stations in latest Buffalo Radio Ratings

I guess this has something to do with the advertising selling arrangement between two Niagara Falls ON radio stations and WECK in Buffalo. CFLZ and CJED are both showing up in the latest Nielsen radio ratings in Buffalo.

I read somewhere that the owner of WECK ( new member Buddy Shula) estimated that the two Niagara Canadian stations between them had over 50,000 listeners in Western NY.

Not huge audience shares but this is the first time in a long time that any Canadian stations have shown up in the ratings in Buffalo. Years ago Q107, CHUM FM, CFNY, CHFI  would be listed in the Buffalo ratings.

Notice at the top it says subscribing Nielsen stations only, so this likely is because of the selling agreement between the three stations and CFLZ, CJED now subscribing..

Re: Two Canadian Stations in latest Buffalo Radio Ratings

Canadian stations rarely subscribe to Arbitron... err Nielsen. Detroit is the best example of them no longer doing so, even though they obviously have ratings. If memory serves, even CKLW, long into their talk phase and CKWW, a 500 watt oldies station, drew numbers near the bottom of the list.
