Documentary On Legendary DJ May Air Here On PBS

He's became an icon in Chicago, but many here remember him from his days at WKBW. Now Dick Biondi is getting his own documentary, and it features not only interviews with the legendary DJ but others, including John Landecker, Frankie Valli, Brian Wilson and Paul Shaffer.

According to the filmmaker, the project has been six years in the making and is now in post production. But she says it may come out not only in festivals and on DVD, but also on PBS.

I know Biondi is best known in Chicago, but I can't imagine WNED wouldn't show this here if it became available, especially with his storied history at WKBW. So as they say, check your local listings, although it may be a while until this actually gets finished. The plan is for it to be in circulation sometime in 2020, but with the COVID crisis, no timeline is really safe.

The trailer below shows what looks like a terrific film.
