New reporting out of the UK that the shutdown for analogue AM and FM has been extended out another decade - now set for 2032. The actual "tuning" data to DAB in the UK - is no where as rosy as had been previously claimed on postings on the Big Yellow Board. Only 60% of tuning on DAB. Which is logical, because people keep legacy receivers...if they're working.

As mentioned other times by many other posters here, DAB needs to carry content not already found on the regular AM or FM dial long before shutting anything down.

It does in the UK, which is one reason it's been quite successful - just not enough to switch off AM/FM.
