It's like word association but with songs...
Accept "Balls to the Wall"
Dokken "Breaking the Chains"
Queensryche "Take Hold of the Flame"
Iron Maiden "Aces High"
left turn at Albuquerque to
Fiction Factory "(Feels Like)Heaven"
Voice Of America "Story of Love"
Scritti Politti "Perfect Way"
Flesh For Lulu "I Go Crazy"
Cock Robin "When Your Heart Is Weak"
The Dream Academy "Life In a Northern Town"
Blancmange "Living On The Ceiling"
Ultravox "Vienna"
Til Tuesday "Voices Carry"
New Order "True Faith"
Toto "99"
That Korgis song is still perfect and unlike ALOT of eighties music has aged very well.
I wish Boom had more range with new wave CFNY era music, or even a bigger pop library to include some variety on these 80's weekends and on Friday afternoon/nights.

A tune I got to love by hearing it on WUWU FM. Todd Rundgren and Utopia and recorded here with a great WUWU ID at 3:13 sanwiched between Jonathan Richman and Utopia:
WUWU Plays Utopia
Some neo garage by Flsehtones:Electric sitar sounds fine in the setting.
Lofi by the inimitable Jonathan Richman:
10000 Maniacs before they made it big and another one I got to know by listening to WUWU:

Yes, I agree betaylored BOOM is sounding pretty good this weekend musically but I too wish they were just a little broader in their selections. I realize they want to play songs that people know, and they do, but there is always room for a just a little more WOW factor with songs we don't normally hear.. A few more for a Sunday..
The Church- Under the Milky Way
World Party- Ship of Fools
Mitsou- Bye Bye Mon Cowboy
Alphaville- Forever Young
Elton John- Guess That's Why They Call it The Blues
Blue Rodeo- Diamond Mine
Alison Moyet- Love Resurrection
The Fixx- Are We Ourselves
Bryan Ferry- Don't Stop the Dance
FM- Just Like You
