Shortwave ain't what it used to be, but the CBC's Radio Canada International is celebrating 70 years on the air (and now on the web.) The so-called Voice of Canada to the World has set up a special website commemorating the event, that might be of interest to radio history buffs, and it includes a rather bizarre 55 minute recording of excerpts from its broadcasts to the world over the years - although almost none of it is in English until about the four minute mark. (And even then.)
If anyone wants to check it out, the site can be found here.

Hear some of the most beautifully spoken language with 70 years in 55 minutes!
Elocution has been beaten down a lot in recent times.
What beauty can be found in the spoken word as it appears here in all of the worlds languages.
I only speak English & French but I understand from others that their native tongue is spoken here with eloquence.
RCI is and always has been "a class act!" Enjoy!
p.s. Why so negative RA?
