Long Lost Rod Serling Script To Be Performed On Radio

I always loved The Twilight Zone and just about anything Rod Serling did. He truly was a master writer and the black and white original remains one of the greatest shows in history.

Now they're uncovered a long lost script he wrote in the 50s - before he was Zone-d out - a baseball comedy involving the Cold War era.

According to the linked article, it only ever aired once on TV, starring soon-to-be Rifleman (and former baseball player) Chuck Connors and John Banner of Hogan's Heroes' Sgt. Schultz fame. No recording of it exists anywhere and the script lay forgotten for years.

Now WVXU-FM, an NPR outlet in Cincinnati (yes, the home of WKRP!) is resurrecting the lost treasure and will perform it on March 25th over the air and through streaming.

If you were a Serling fan and don't mind a play on the radio, it might interest you.  (And by the way it turns out Serling once worked at WLW. Who knew?)
