Jerry Agar's ex-wife
Jerry Agar opened up this morning about his first wife, who died yesterday, their marriage, separation and divorce. Pretty sure he was tearing up at the end. A rare and interesting peek under the kimono for him.

I happened to hear that segment and you're right. It was pretty riveting at times. It's interesting that he said they both were friendly towards each other right to the end, after they'd become sweethearts in school.
Tragedy also struck fellow station staffer Barb DiGiulio, who was off air for several days last week, after her father suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.
Condolences to them both.

Agar told a great story during his show when the subject of Rush Limbaugh's appearance at Tuesday's State of the Union came up. And this is something that could only happen to someone in radio.
He said he was in the States at a comedy club several years ago and was backstage hanging around with the stand-ups. At one point, one of them, an American, came over and asked him if he was the Canadian talk show host. When Agar said yes, the comedian told him he must be a big fan of Rush.
Agar responded that he was a radio veteran who was very successful. At which point, the comic looked at him like he'd lost his mind, acting as if he didn't understand the answer.
And that's when he realized the guy had been asking him about the band!
