Crazy Shaped Radios That Didn't Last

I recall reading an article recently in which the author expressed surprise at finding an AM-FM portable radio on sale in a store - the first time he'd seen such a device on the shelves in years. But back when transistors were the rage, manufacturers couldn't resist trying to change the channel - or in this case, the dial - by making all kinds of wacky radios. 

The linked article below shows you a sample of them, including one shaped like headphones and another you could wear on your wrist. Doubt they sold many of them, but in the 70s, anything went.

You can have them, if you're willing to pay for them. Not really that expensive, actually.

....and, done. Thanks. Thought they'd have FM too given the vintage, but the decade shows on AM740 in the evening will sound cool from it.
