CFRB Explains Christie Blatchford's Sudden Absence

The National Post columnist and NT1010 contributor has been diagnosed with cancer, after feeling pain in her back after exercising. The station has not explained what form of the disease she has, but says she will be off the air for the next few weeks as she gets treatment for the illness.

Blatchford has been a regular on RB for years, mostly during the morning and afternoon sessions of The Roundtable.

Re: CFRB Explains Christie Blatchford's Sudden Absence

All Tuesday Twitter has been flooded with people wishing Christie well, with John Moore, the Newstalk 1010 Twitter account, CBC's Simon Dingley and more all tweeting their support, the replies from the public in these tweets are numerous and heartfelt.

Best wishes Christie, looking forward to hearing you on the radio again. 🙏

I wish her a full recovery and hope she comes back with less vitriol in her writing.

Have read her work since the '80s.  Like any reader/writer relationship, at times I agree to disagree,  however agree does tip the scales.

Get well and do what you do best!

Well, if anyone can give cancer the swift kick in the arse it deserves, it will be Christie.

Here's looking forward to her return, but take care of business first.
