"The Most Powerful Radio I’ve Heard"

That's a quote from a fellow WGR-AM announcer following an absolutely riveting 21 minutes delivered on Monday morning, in which station host Jeremy White recounts how he and his wife lost all of their quadruplets, as all the babies died days after being born prematurely.

Talking of his wife and himself, White recalls naming each child as it emerged into the world, knowing they wouldn't survive long. "Every single time she went into labor, every single time a child came, we knew we're going to meet this child and then it's going to die."

That's chilling. And it's not what you expect to hear on a macho sports talk station. And that, among other things, is what makes it so hard to listen to - and so hard not to.

Jeremy White's emotional retelling of losing quadruplets is unforgettable radio
