Man this isn't good...
I've had a few brief chats with Jonah in the past year via email
I was friends with several of the Montreal Expos players of the 1970's
That was our topic of conversation
Far more pleasant than this subject matter
I'm both sad & disappointed for all involved...

This is sad news, he is a great Blue Jay commentator and analyst...I wonder how Sportsnet will treat this...
I trust it will all work out.

So this sad tale continues to drag on with no resolution
Last week MLB ran a 2016 documentary on the Montreal Expos in which Keri had some prominent screen time.
Except that in last weeks reroll he was no where to be found.
MLB took the time to edit him entirely from the broadcast

The sad case of Jonah Keri took a step forward this week in a Montreal courtroom.
Mr. Keri who is 46 pled guilty on Monday to assault charges after presentation of an agreed statement of fact.
The disgraced baseball writer and Montreal native admitted to hitting, spitting on & threats of death towards his ex wife and her family and unborn son. It is a sad, sordid & tragic list of vile actions by Mr. Keri against his ex wife all of which Mr. Keri admitted to this week in court.
I won't give any further details of Mr. Keri's actions here because they are that vile but the Montreal media including the Gazette has full coverage of the story
The son of a bitch will be back before a judge in November.
