There is money in sports broadcasting, but you gotta go south

It is interesting to see what the top sports personalities make south of the border...it ain't chump change that is for sure...

Interesting the big differential between men and women sportscasters. The highest paid women are in the same range as the lowest paid men.

I remember a long time ago when City TV sportscaster Kathryn Humphries was being wooed by ESPN in the U.S. 

To everyone's surprise, she turned them down. When asked why, she said something like, 'I'd be a small fish in a big pond there. Here I'm a bigger deal, with extra days off and my family. Why would I want to move?'

She eventually retired and I'm not sure what she's doing now. But not everybody jumps at the chance to move down south, regardless of the pay - which I'm pretty sure would have been a lot more than she was making here.
