Re: Frank Leo

As annoying as the guy is, he actually does hold some number 1 spots on some of the categories on this page:

Re: Frank Leo

The spots I've been hearing lately seem to be telling the story of how Frank Leo has helped Andrew,Fred, and so many others sell their home for top dollar. Rather than what sectors he is No.1 salesperson the real estate world.

Re: Frank Leo

Frank Leo is to real estate what Diamond + Diamond is to lawyers.   Someone from Mr. Leo's organization may indeed sell your house.    But frankly, it will not be Frank.

There are three lessons here:
1. Success in real estate centres around listings. No matter which agent/brokerage actually sells, you get commission.

2. Leo targets sellers, promising quick and high price, so as to secure said listing. Buyers? Who cares.

3. If you purchase a home with a Frank Leo sign in front, you may have paid too much.

Re: Frank Leo

Frank Leo, My Pillow, and now the Jiffy home services company are the holy terror trinity of read it cold and try hard not to stumble ads radio hosts must love everytime they sit down for a shift behind the mic. (And sometimes the recorded ads from certain hosts aren't terribly smooth.)

D'you think if you're a PD in the middle of interviewing a possible new host, you'd toss over a copy of an average ad, just to see if they can pull off a decent read?

Terry O'Reilly's radio show/podcast on CBC, 'Under the Influence' had another excellent episode last week. This one was on real estate marketing, and if you missed it, it's a fun half hour that includes the origin of 'swamp land in Florida'.

Whoever writes the Frank Leo ads, maybe it's time for a change from the Frank saved (insert name here) from financial/real estate disaster.

Maybe the campaign (while annoying to radio listeners) works, and maybe Frank Leo is not pissing his money away on a failed promotion.    Maybe.

If another agent/brokerage sells your listing, you split the commission.

Quite sure you are correct, Ms C, and the campaign works.

I was thinking of the tune out factor, in that the same thing done over and over again gets more and more uninteresting.

Several of the most talented, veteran radio hosts on both Newstalk 1010, and GNR am 640 are now reading the Frank Leo copy by rote, struggling through at times, because the wording is so tired. If you compare the way they read the Jiffy app ads, you'll hear their burnout on the Leo ads.

Rework the copy, change up the ebb and flow of the words in the Leo ads, using the same basic Frank Leo pitch, and entertain, and recapture the listeners.
