Two radio show hosts and 1 arrest and 1 sentencing happened today

The former broadcaster in Manitoba, received his sentencing today, there was a story of a East Coast morning show host and broadcaster arrested in Puerto Rico on child sex charges.

Here is more on the Robbery incident.

Then here too is the story about the former morning show host in Puerto Rico

Just wondering if this means more employee screening will be needed in future or perhaps more employee counseling...???

It would be challenging to do either of these initiatives. but a story like the morning show host arrested on child sex charges, can really put the station at risk and it is very disheartening to see this happen to a radio show host that you've had a long time relationship with.

Make no mistake, your friendly radio show hosts do become like your friend on the way to work or school.

Comment away.

The world would be so good if it weren't for some people...

Re: Two radio show hosts and 1 arrest and 1 sentencing happened today

This reminds me of a previous thread I posted last September that involved a series of bizarre arrests of on-air people in the radio industry down south. Coincidentally, one of those had its finish on Friday when WFAN co-host Craig Carton was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for his part in a lucrative multi-million dollar ticket scam related to his gambling addiction.

How the mighty have fallen. This guy was once one of the top rated personalities in New York City radio and he threw it all away for money. It's a sad story but it's not without some humour. The judge in this case addressed the former host in court by saying "Good afternoon Mr. Carton. Colleen from New York. First time, long time."

Maybe
a bit over the top, but you gotta give her props for originality.
