From the Toronto Sun, a suggestion that because Rogers owns the exclusive rights to the Jays, the Raptors will be relegated to second class - which the author suggests is why they were shunted over to CFRB on Monday night.
It's a situation that's likely to continue as long as all three teams (the Leafs are the other one) continue to have conflicting schedules at this point in the season.
It comes even though the Raptors are a far better team, are playoff contenders, and the poorly performing Jays are just starting their season. If you believe his conclusions, it means that Rogers is once again putting its corporate interests ahead of the fans and what would seem to be logical priorities. .
Toronto Sun: Crowded sports market means Rogers will showcase baseball and not basketball
MLB is the strictest of the big league sports when it comes to having games moved or preempted. When the Leafs and Jays were both on the Fan in the 90's, the Blue Jays always had priority.

has anybody ever realized the raptors are only on one station [no raptors radio multi station network] they will be the first Toronto big league to go online for audio streaming
wasn't CFRB 1010 The original broadcaster of the Raptors there first few seasons?

I believe the FAN is contractually obligated to carry every Jays game, so there's no getting around that.
If I remember correctly, there was a similar situation about 5 years ago where the Leafs and Raptors were both in the playoffs. If memory serves, Rogers bumped two leaf games over to 680.

Yup. That's exactly what they did, but it was also due to a surprise Leaf playoff schedule that was very hard to predict.
The fact that leafs got that far was big news, so games on 680 were so fitting. (as the joke goes...lol)
