1970s Musical Icon Diagnosed With Rare Disease & Is Calling It Quits

It seems like many of the musical icons from the 60s and 70s - those that survived to make it this far - are slowly but surely disappearing. The latest is Peter Frampton, whose "Frampton Comes Alive" remains one of the biggest selling live LPs ever released. He's going on one last tour (which won't include Canada) after being diagnosed with a rare disease that will forever end his ability to play guitar.

By the way, the 7 minute video that accompanies this story, from CBS's Sunday Morning show, is worth a look.

Peter Frampton reveals rare muscular disease is why his next tour will be his last

Actually, he is playing the Roxodus Festival in Edenvale.

You are correct. As well, a quick second check shows he'll also be in Montreal in July. But no Toronto dates.

If only I hadn't viewed Fyre Festival.

What does Wikipedia have to say about Edenvale  today?

"Little remains of the once vibrant community. For many years, the most prominent feature of the former village was the Edenvale Garage & Motor Sales on Highway 26, at the centre of the former village, but this has since closed."

Interesting location for the Roxodus Festival.  I wonder if CKNT will broadcast the festival live?

Well at least the Simpson's have him captured as a timeless classic:
