Is a shame that CFRB got rid of its comfortable, old Kowch

(l-r) John Spragge, Brian Skinner, Al Boliska, Bob McAdorey, Dave Johnson, Dick Clark.
Sadly, all of the above are deceased except for Brian Skinner.

Who, for reasons I've never been sure of, seems to want absolutely nothing to do with his history at CHUM. He's never taken part in any of the reunions and he's kept a low profile for decades since leaving Toronto. A shame. He was always one of my favourites, is a real talent and I'll bet he has a lot of great stories to tell.
If only someone could convince him to tell them.

Dale have you ever gotten in touch with his son Cory; who used to work at CHUM? He was a great kid. Not a kid anymore I'm sure.

That photo was 'borrowed' from the official chumtribute.ca site. Dale Patterson and I spent dozens of hours painstakingly putting hundreds of photos so people can 'borrow' them and call them their own.
And yes, I'm getting very tired of it.

I spoke with Brian quite a few years ago now when he was in Seattle. He totally got out of radio and left it behind. He really wasn't happy with the way he was treated at CHUM at the end....but then, neither was Jack Armstrong...or Bob McAdorey. I worked with Brian the most of any of the board operators. We did hundreds of 'Grooveyard' programs together. I produced intros, liners all kinds of production for that show. Cory was going to visit Brian and asked for copies, which i happily gave him.

I'd love to, but I can't find him anywhere. Ultimately, I'd like to e-mail/talk to the Prez himself.
