This morning I hear my local radio station running snippets of John Moore's program "Conversations"
What the hell day is it? This is weekend programming not Friday morning drive time stuff.
Full interview with Don Cherry and a few others all lasting 6 or 7 minutes.
What gives?
Here's the scoop...
The station has cut staff to such an extent that when one person goes on holidays & the other person is sick - they're fucked & so are their listeners.
So Friday morning drive is taken up with local news and a board op running Moore's program.
BTW there are no other in-the flesh full time program hosts employed at the station. There's just two.
All this in a city of 4 hundred thousand.
What a pity
Thanks Bell

Two full-time AM News/Talk stations in a city of 400,000 is at least one too many.

unclefester you must be referring to CJBK London. I used to listen but stopped many years ago when they abandoned local hosts (except for mornings). CFPL 980 is the only choice for local in London... they scooped up the Knights rights a couple of years ago along with the play by play guy from CJBK, Blue Jays rights too. Hard to believe because Corus is notoriously cheap too.

Corus Entertainment shares rose from $4.41 to $5.07 this (4-day) week.
