Westwood one is going through some major shake-ups south of the border, with it's "Conservative" flavoured hosts...(George Noory is one of them)...and they have decided to pull award winning right wing host Michael Savage from a number of major markets...
Here is more on the story
It will be interesting to see what kinds of shows replace these ones. Rush Limbaugh, Coast-to-Coast AM, Michael Savage...might be re-aligned...and it will affect the direction and future for this kind of radio in the Trumpian era south of the border.
Talk radio may take a much different turn moving forward.
Comments are welcome...
Cheers!

Ben Shapiro is replacing Savage
Atleast on WABC
Savage thankfully will still have an hour on air plus an hour podcast

I've listened to him on occasion out of WJR in Detroit at night. He certainly believes it's a conspiracy to silence him and has openly said so on air. Frankly, I wonder why the syndicator puts up with it as the countdown nears to his final regular show and he bad mouths them as often as he can.

Prior to clicking on that link, I opened an Incognito tab so they wouldn't be able to pick up any ad clues from my browser. The ads they did show me were indicative of the vast right-wing audience in America these days. Sad!
Don't believe me. Open an Incognito tab and try it yourself. Bwahahahahahaha.

Commercial talk radio in the US is dying FAST, and guys like Savage are accelerating it. His station in market #1 has a huge signal and nets around a 1 share 12+ (which likely looks worse in 25-54)

I'm a big fan of Savage & pick him up nightly - mostly via 'the great voice of the great lakes" WJR Detroit.
I've always loved that 'great lakes" slogan. - still do.
