No, this is NOT About the new voice of the Jays, Ben Wagner. Instead, it's about the tech who mixes the crowd noise, the crack of the bat, the umpire calls etc. on the radio so that you get the feeling you're actually at the ballpark. An interesting look (listen?) at an unsung behind-the-scenes type who rarely gets any publicity.
Meet the tech who makes the Toronto Blue Jays sound great

Neat thread. I am not much of a baseball fan, and would rather watch a Frank Stallone movie than a baseball game live or on the idiot box, BUT, having the game on, on the radio, with all the great sounds, the crack of the ball hitting the bat, the roar of the crowd, the canned music, even the mesmerizing commentary from the announcers is as much a necessary part of my summer as the smell of freshly cut grass, or a sun burned nose. Always wanted to know how they put it together. Thanks RA.

Great to learn about those we never see; but add the dimensions that we love yet take for granted.
