It runs around 90 minutes, was released for the first time on Monday, and tells the story of Dan Rather's career and his distress with the current trend in news reporting. I read his autobiography, "The Camera Never Blinks," a long time ago and it was pretty good. I hope this one turns out to be just as interesting.

Rather was the first to report on the death of President Kennedy in 1963 and was caught up in the battle with Richard Nixon during the Watergate era. It also doesn't shy away from the controversies that plagued him in his later years. It's all covered in this show, which features some vintage news footage.

Worth a look if you remember the former CBS Evening News anchor and 60 Minutes contributor's on air work.
