Would You Watch A Live Execution Of A Killer By Firing Squad?
Just when you think there's nothing more outrageous that could emanate from the U.S., comes this.
The Pentagon has announced that a terrorist convicted in a shooting on a U.S. army base and facing the death penalty, will have his killing shown live over the Internet. The stunning announcement is just the latest outrageous idea from a government that never seems to run out of them.
Nidal Malik Hasan was convicted of killing 13 and wounding 32 others during a rampage at Ft. Hood in 2009. He received the death penalty for his murderous spree and his execution is scheduled to take place on Dec. 3rd.
U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth insists the death by firing squad will be live streamed, with more details still to come. If it happens, it would be the first public execution in the U.S. in 90 years.
Would you watch this? Could any TV network (Fox News included) credibly show this?

Wow, just like Nigeria used to do in the 1970s and the world thought it was barbaric then. This is the sign of a nation in decline. Surprised it isn’t a pay per view situation. Pathetic. Sorry if I got a bit political here, this is just shocking and to think they’re our “neighbours”. What’s next? Mandatory church attendance? Thoughts and prayers aren’t going to help here.

Good. This was a terrible idea yet I can’t help but feel that the decision to drop it was arrived at begrudgingly. It was allegedly pointed out to the powers that be that a “public execution” could create a martyr.
