Almost every music radio station promises you either favourites or new music on their playlist. But only one can claim the latter and really mean it. The online station is called The Sound of Monaco and as the name implies, it's located overseas.
But its claim to fame isn't its famous location. It's the music it plays.
It can honestly state in its promos that it plays tunes you can't hear anywhere else. That's because it commissioned and recorded at least 100 songs of its own, which it owns and no one else has access to. And that's pretty much its entire playlist.
"The Sound of Monaco has built its entire music format around songs produced specifically for the station, combining pop, lounge, smooth jazz and funk to create a sound associated with Monaco and the French Riviera.
The project is produced by Jan Fabricius-Kristensen, a former drummer whose musical background has influenced the station’s rhythmic approach, with keyboards, bass, guitars, flute and female vocals featuring in its recordings.
Rather than selecting music for an existing station, Jan developed the catalogue first and then launched the 24 hour online radio service around it."
I doubt other stations - online or not - could ever afford or be willing to try this. But it's an interesting way to difference itself from anyone else playing the same songs over and over.
If you're the least bit curious, you can listen live here.

I wonder how much AI is used in “composing” this playlist. I think I would check out a station like this out of curiosity, but it wouldn’t end up a preset. Also, having a playlist of 100 songs might get a bit boring after a while for listeners.
