WNED Hosting U.S, Premiere Of CFNY Doc From T.O. Record Store Tuesday
It airs Tuesday night on Buffalo Toronto Public Media's WNED, but the station is doing more than just showing the documentary. It's sending two of its own to host at this city's "Sonic Boom" record store.
"CFNY didn't just impact Canadians, it was also a huge influence on us across the border," said BTPM CEO and President Tom Calderone “CFNY was iconic, authentic, broke a lot of bands, and broke a lot of rules.”
Both Calderone and The Bridge P.D. Tiffany Bentley will go live from the venue.
CFNY was popular in the GTA during its "Spirit" days, but its strong signal also allowed it to garner a decent sized audience in Western New York.
The film airs at 7:30 PM Tuesday night.

In an interview on AM640 Tuesday morning, Alan Cross confirmed the Channel 17 showing will be the full, uncut extended version, unlike the one-hour only show that was run on TVO. Cross will also be a guest on the live broadcast.

Maybe instead of WNED, they should do pledge breaks for Corus. I think they may need the money more!
