If you're wondering why Nathan Downer has been doing CTV Toronto's noon news solo this week, it's because his frequent on-air partner is needed elsewhere.

Michelle Dubé, normally the co-anchor on the local 12 and 6 PM CFTO newscasts, has been getting some Canada-wide exposure, fronting the CTV National News this week.

She was on the 11 PM show Tuesday night and back doing the local newscast Wednesday night. It was short but sweet -  a nice temporary promotion for a talented newscaster who doesn't get a lot of exposure outside of her own local market.
