The Far Side cartoons were so good and they've stood the test of time. What a great article with some classics and even a few cartoons that I've never seen (I think?)

Growing up we loved them so much we'd get close friends and family the greeting card versions of The Far Side cartoons as birthday cards instead of the traditional hbd kind.

To this day I can instantly remember "Bummer of a birthmark Hal." with the two deer as well as the two polar bears standing over an igloo with a bite taken out of the top of it and one of the bears saying something like "Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside."
