There are a lot of video services out there and at least one is trying to attract your attention in a new way with an old gimmick - the double feature. Pluto TV, the online so-called FAST (Free Ad Supported Television) service is starting a weekly Friday night live stream of two movies with similar themes that anyone can watch.
The first airs August 21st and features the blockbuster "Gravity," with George Clooney and Sandra Bullock paired with a far less famous film called "The Outer Threat," two visions of humanity confronting the vastness beyond Earth.
A new pairing of similar flicks will run every week until Christmas, ending with Bill Murray's "Scrooged," followed by "Bad Santa 1 & 2." The movies will be augmented with behind-the-scenes production material and interviews from the archives of Entertainment Tonight.
