Never mind the fact that August 3rd is not a federal holiday - which means radio employees are technically not covered by it - just about every station in town has decided to go into full reroll mode on Monday. 

Except one. And no, it's not 680 News which by its very nature has to be live all the time. 

It's the Fan 590. Normally, there would be endless filler from Westwood One (inevitably talking all day about the NFL.) But it just happens to be baseball trade deadline day (bye bye, Kevin Gausman) and the station is live all day long as the final bell approaches, tracking all the moves.

The station has original programming with extended coverage of who's going where. And given what's on the other outlets in town, it's nice to know there's someone live on air when no one else is.
