Did anyone listen to 1010 Friday morning at about 9:30?
If you did you heard a strange and somewhat cringe segment where John Tory, filling in for John Moore, went on an extended gushing and somewhat cringy trtbute to Amanda Galbraith who is now part of consulting firm Oyster.
She was going to be on next so Tory began introducing her in strange and rapturous praise, talking about how smart she is, smarter than him, really smart etc.  He then proceeded to talk about how she turned up for work wearing nine inch heel shoes, and speculated how she could walk in them.
He also wanted to know if she practiced a drinking regimen at parties called "zebra striping" which consists of alternating an alcoholic drink with a non alcoholic one.
When she appeared for her segment he then told her live again how smart she was and how she could walk in those high heels and if she used zebra striping at parties.
She handled all this in a sort of off hand way, but punctuated in a few gusts of sort of nervous laughter.
She did not encourage him to prursue his questions and comments.
It was rather strange.
I questioned whether I was just imagining things.
Anybody else hear it?
