New Study: Live Announcer Ads Catch More Attention Than Recorded Spots

According to a new study, having a live host or a DJ read a commercial on the radio gets it more listener attention than a fully produced fancy advertisement that can take hours to make.

And Toronto Mike will be happy to hear this: the same applies to podcasts.

"Radio listeners are 2.7 times more likely to notice host-read ads than standard spots, with talent-read copy lifting purchase intent by 67%. Two different formats, two different research firms, and the same result: a trusted voice reading the copy outperforms a polished recording of the same message."

Looks like Frank Leo is onto something, after all.
