Pickering-Born Mr. Dressup Gets Special Exhibit In His Hometown
It won't be for everyone but if you grew up watching Casey and Finegan, you might be interested in a new exhibit opening in Pickering. That's where child entertainer Ernie Coombs was born and his hometown is paying tribute to him in a special exhibit.
"Ernie Coombs Is Mr. Dressup" promises an exclusive look at the late veteran CBC kid show star.
"It includes never-before-seen audio-visual content, interviews with his family and original props from the show. "
It opens July 11th and runs until the end of September. No word on whether the Tickle Trunk will make an appearance.

Mr. Coombs was born in Lewiston, Maine. He resided in Pickering.

Thanks for the correction. The article called him a "Pickering man," which to me implied he was from there.
